These Air Fryer Chicken & Mozzarella Wraps are crispy on the outside with melty mozzarella and tender chicken inside. Perfectly golden, quick to prepare in under 20 minutes, and customizable, they make an ideal snack, lunch, or appetizer for any occasion without heavy oil frying.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • Chicken Breast – cut into small pieces (about 1 lb)
  • Mozzarella Cheese – shredded or small mozzarella balls (1 cup)
  • Tortilla Wraps – flour tortillas, 4 large
  • Olive Oil Spray – as needed for crispiness

Seasonings

  • Garlic Powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon, or to taste
  • Black Pepper – 1/4 teaspoon, or to taste

Optional Fresh Herbs

  • Fresh Basil or Parsley – 2 tablespoons, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Filling: Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces. Toss them with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper ensuring all pieces are evenly coated and flavorful.
  2. Pre-cook the Chicken: Place the seasoned chicken pieces in the air fryer basket and cook at 375°F (190°C) for about 8 minutes, shaking halfway through to cook evenly and retain juiciness.
  3. Assemble the Wraps: Lay the flour tortillas flat and evenly distribute the cooked chicken and shredded mozzarella in the center of each. Add fresh basil or parsley if using. Fold the sides tightly to form neat wraps ready for air frying.
  4. Air Fry the Wraps: Lightly spray the outside of each wrap with olive oil spray. Place the wraps in the air fryer basket and cook at 375°F (190°C) for 5 to 7 minutes or until the wraps turn golden brown and crispy and the cheese melts inside.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Carefully remove the wraps from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute. Slice each wrap in half for easier eating and serve with your favorite dipping sauce or a side salad for a complete meal.
