Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients

  • 200g White Chocolate, chopped
  • 120ml Heavy Cream
  • 30g Butter
  • 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar

Flavor & Color

  • 3 tbsp Blueberry Puree or 1 tsp Blueberry Extract
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • Blue Food Coloring (optional, as needed)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract (optional)

Decorations

  • Powdered Sugar (for rolling)
  • Blue Decorative Sprinkles or Edible Glitter
  • Edible Silver Stars (optional)
  • Shredded Coconut dyed blue (optional)
  • Crushed Blue Candy Canes (optional)

Variations (optional)

  • Coconut Cream and Vegan White Chocolate (for vegan version)
  • Lemon or Orange Zest (for citrus infusion)
  • Almond or Hazelnut Paste (for nutty flavor)
  • Mixed Berries like Blackberries or Raspberries (along with blueberries)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ganache Base: Heat the heavy cream until it just begins to simmer. Pour the hot cream over the chopped white chocolate and butter. Let it sit undisturbed for one minute, then stir gently until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  2. Add Blueberry Flavor and Color: Mix in blueberry puree or extract along with the lemon zest and vanilla extract if using. Gradually add blue food coloring until you reach the desired festive hue.
  3. Chill and Firm Up: Cover the ganache with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours or until firm enough to handle without sticking.
  4. Shape the Truffles: Using a small scoop or spoon, form the chilled ganache into uniform, bite-sized balls. Place them on a parchment-lined tray.
  5. Decorate and Finish: Roll each truffle in powdered sugar, blue sprinkles, edible glitter, or other festive decorations. Store them in a cool place until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Use high-quality white chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Make sure the ganache is completely chilled before shaping to avoid stickiness.
  • Add food coloring slowly to control the perfect shade of blue.
  • Cold hands or a lightly oiled spoon helps prevent the ganache from sticking while shaping.
  • Store truffles refrigerated and bring to room temperature before serving for optimal taste and texture.
