Ingredients

Scale

Vegetables

  • 1 cup frozen or fresh spinach (thawed and drained or sautéed)
  • 1 cup artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Dairy & Creamy Base

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Seasonings

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Begin by thawing and thoroughly draining your spinach to remove excess moisture. Chop the artichoke hearts into bite-sized pieces for even distribution throughout the dip.
  2. Mix the creamy base: In a large bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with sour cream or mayonnaise until smooth. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and any red pepper flakes to this base for seasoning and mix well.
  3. Combine vegetables and cheeses: Fold the prepared spinach and chopped artichokes into the creamy mixture. Then add grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella, stirring until everything is combined evenly.
  4. Bake to perfection: Transfer the dip to a baking dish and spread it out evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 25 minutes or until the top is bubbling and golden brown.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy: Allow the dip to cool slightly before serving with your favorite dippers such as toasted bread, chips, or fresh vegetables. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Drain vegetables well to avoid a watery dip by pressing or patting dry thoroughly.
  • Use fresh minced garlic rather than powders for the best flavor.
  • Avoid overbaking; bake until bubbly and golden without drying out the creamy interior.
  • This dip can be made a day ahead and baked right before serving to enhance flavor melding.
  • Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or seasonings just before baking for perfectly balanced flavor.
